The Film

Picture
Currently set at 1 hour 28 minutes, Perfect Hunch of an Agoraphobe is a British film that narrates what happens on a Christmas eve in the life of Greta Walsh, an Agoraphobe who cannot leave her flat.

Agoraphobia - the fear of meeting people, has engulfed Greta for over a year and has confined  her to the boundaries of her flat with her boyfriend since she was attacked in an alley a year ago - the culprit was never caught.

She is becoming increasingly sure of who the attacker was. Greta confides in her close friend Harvey T'ang while a series of visits at her flat leave the friends in a spiral that may be more challenging than they anticipated.

How it was made

Without giving away much, shall we just say that the whole film was shot within a short span of 9 days and 95% of it uses a single location in Cambridge, UK besides some locations in London.

Besides the fact that it was made after Christmas, one of the bigger challenges was keeping the grand looking Christmas tree alive for until a month and half after Christmas.

An incredible amount of hard work went in from the entire cast and crew following very intense rehearsals that spanned for 10 days.

The film now aims to visit film festivals worldwide in 2015.

The Director

Erwin Jones is the directorial pseudonym of a London based director, producer and actress Supraneeti Hammacott. Jones directed several documentary short films for a London based charity before embarking on a year long stint making promotional videos for the same client, whilst also directing short films.

Perfect Hunch of an Agoraphobe is Jones's debut feature film.
